I’ve only had my hands on one 56 kg kettlebell in my life, an Australian model in Adam Glass’ gym. I could swing it and clean it, but I certainly wasn’t doing a Turkish get up with it. The Turkish get up exercise is one that I don’t love. I saw it for the first time in Pavel Tsatsouline’s book Enter The Kettlebell, as part of the Program Minimum.
Even after I got certified as an RKC I didn’t love to do it. And so I didn’t practice it much. My favorite part about the video above is that the kid is apparently only 19. He’s going to be one strong (meaning even stronger) dude down the road, and he’s obviously put in the practice I have not.
Very strong stuff. Well done.
