Maybe this won’t impress anyone but me, but I could watch Magnus Samuelsson lift all day. In this video you’ll see some really, really heavy curls. Biceps curls are what too many young guys fixate on, without ever working up to any appreciable weight. A couple of months ago at our gym we had “max curl night” where we all tried to figure out how much we could curl for one rep. None of us came close to Mr. World’s Strongest Arms up here, surprise surprise. It was entertaining and enlightening though. I was able to strictly curl 145 on an Olympic barbell, which was more than I thought I’d get.
I’m pretty sure I was able to get it because of all the weighted chinups I do. The forearm power and bicep strength is unbelievable. Anyway, it stopped just about everyone in their tracks once they hit 100 pounds. Magnus weighs a lot, but that’s not why he’s able to curl this much weight. It’s because he is really, really strong.
And the #4 close on the Captain of Crush here is beyond impressive, assuming you care about grippers at all:)
