Imagine that you find some used dumbbells in a second hand sporting good store for only $20. Now imagine that your fancy discount dumbbell actually weights 200 lbs. What’s the first thing you do with it? I’m guessing you didn’t say triceps kickbacks or dips.And you probably didn’t look at it and think, Wow I should shake this weight!
But heavy dips are exactly what you’re seeing in the video above. Besides the close grip bench press I don’t know of anything that makes my triceps do more work than dips.
So if you’re looking for a tricep workout with dumbbells (or even just one monster), you might try strapping them around your waist and getting after it.
And don’t feel bad if you can’t do 200 lbs. I certainly can’t!
