Deadlift form by Mark Rippetoe

by Josh Hanagarne on December 31, 2010

There are a lot of opinions about what constitutes perfect deadlift form, or if there is even such a thing as the ideal, optimal deadlift for each and every person. Here is Mark Rippetoe’s (author of Strong Enough?) take on some of the things to keep in mind during a deadlift pull, with regards to back angles and proper deadlift form.

Where do you stand? There are people who deadlift with a back so rounded that it can be frightening to watch, but I don’t think anyone who isn’t pulling as much as Konstantinov is on his mind very much.
