OMG, Earl! I was JUST thinking about something like this earlier today. I recently ran across a super old notebook full of pictures, letters and newspaper clippings that belonged to my dad. It was from one of his adventures when he was in college:

Anyway, the neat thing about the notebook was it made it clear that their intentions weren’t JUST to have an “excellent adventure,” but also to improve relations between students from the US and Latin America. It was a 1960′s version of a (pre-internet) global network. If you can think of any ways I can help you with your goal, I’ll be more than happy to. I’ll be fulfilling one of his wishes.

One thought, right off the bat is, if you haven’t hooked up with Jonny (thelifething.com) you probably should. He seems to be on the same wavelength as you, and he’s super driven, crazy cool, and an all-around nice guy.

Hey Lisis – I know its a good post when I find myself reading out loud with my voice getting louder and louder with each sentence!

My goal for this year is to determine how best to use my travel experience to spark an interest in world travel in as many young people as possible. I want to help others become global citizens, to learn though first-hand experiences, as I really believe this is the answer to solving many of the world’s issues.
