Kinkachoo I Love You

by Josh Hanagarne on November 9, 2009

Maybe you can help me figure out what a kinkachoo (or kinkajou) is. I’ve seen it spelled both ways and I’ve seen bear, bird, and other definitions.

Either way, this is a beautiful, haunting tune. It’s got some real mystery in it. Also, for you aspiring guitarists, this song is way easier to play than it sounds like it would be. Learn it! Don’t miss your chance to show off!

Iain, I don’t know. It’s too early for such big questions.

Oooh, like a smooth version of Andy McKee… sa-weet.

Kinkachu! My kiddo has a book about Kinkachu and how he lost his crown :)

James, no wonder the tune is so sad. Does he get his crown back?

He does indeed. All he had to do was say, “Please!”

Josh, man, I wish I had your patience. I’d love to be able to play this. I have a guitar, but have yet to find the motivation to really learn how to play. I guess that’ll happen when the novel is written.

I think I need to listen to this again. Got any other music to share? I’ve been reading a lot of your post, but haven’t commented much. Sorry ’bout that.

Joey, here’s the other song I’ve done on the blog:

Write that novel first! You’ve got all the time in the world for guitar.

I’m at work right now and usually a bit stressed, but I just listened to that song and it completely relaxed me. I almost started dozing off :) Thanks for the zen moment.

Brain…relaxing…going theta…now alpha…entering REM sleep…dreaming of kinkajous…which was how we spelled it when we had one. “Ben” was a cool pet, but these days, I’d go with the guitar. And kettlebells. Ben was only about a quarter pood.

Head to the Paradise Gardens in Panama for a cuddle with the cute little Kinkajou whose pic I sent you. I recommend it. You haven’t lived til you’ve cuddled a kinkajou:)

ok, I’m on my way. Please call my boss and let her know I won’t be in for as long as it takes to walk to Panama and back.
