I know what Josh was doing reading The Satanic Bible---the same thing I was doing. . . . .ROFLMAO. Satanists are amusing. They're even funnier if they're illiterate, like the ones at my high school---lots of worship of some guy named Stan and references to hailing Satin. I think the satin-hailing was a bigger deal around prom than Homecoming, though---lighter-weight, shiny fabrics really are more appropriate for a late spring evening event. Satanists also can't take full-on punches to the face, and they cry if you bump them into lockers. . . . I'm just sayin'. . . . .

Josh,

My parole office has a list of my convictions - I'll get it to ya. Warning: it's a huge file. ;-)

I am comfortable with my convictions. They are a subtle undercurrent in everything I do. I don't wave them as banners for all of the world to see. I instead use them as a boringly stable and reliable foundation for all that I do.

So, I'm a bad reader when it comes to other people's blogs. I just got around to reading your second Problogger guest post which led me to your site and this amusing entry. I won't say how I liked the entertaining way you presented your points - others have said it for me - however, I do enjoy the creative edge you have on your blog.

I've read a couple of your other posts, and I will be back. I'm half tempted to submit a guest post idea for you. I don't have a rollicking blog yet; we're still in the beginning stages. Maybe I will send you that idea I've got. I can't wait to see/hear what comes next!

Casey, lots of people say things change their lives and then they never change. Training with Adam certainly is going to change the life of my training. You will never be the same again, and you'll never want to be.

I'm doing RTK right now, about 5 weeks in, and I have to say I love it more than anything Pavel has put out yet. I was a PTTP freak for a while, but I don't know if i'll ever want to do anything but RTK again.

Josh,

I traveled up to Seattle two weeks ago to work with the Dane on Viking Warrior Conditioning, and it really was fantastic. Learned even more about the protocols, as well as dialed in the snatch technique even further.

Also your post on training with Adam Glass inspired me to do the same. I'll be working with him online if all goes as planned, and it'll be three months of soul crushing armor building. Like I need to tell you that, you got it first hand!

@Johan. Ha! She needs that quote on one of her books: "whenever I come near a book of Cornwell's, I start feeling nauseous." That's the greatest thing I've heard today.

Quote: "I was at a friend’s house for the weekend and it was literally the only book in the house." by Josh Hanagarne.

I think I know what you mean, being in a strange house and dying for something to read. When I was house sitting on my brother's house, I discovered that my sis-in-law is a fan, a big fan, of Patricia Cornwell. During those 8 days I read six books of her and overdosed on the main character Kay Scarpetta. Nowadays whenever I come near a book of her I start feeling nauseous.

Casey, thanks. You make some great points. I swung by your blog yesterday and saw that you've got KJ coming out. That's fantastic.

That gave me a good chuckle, and you hit on some excellent points Josh. I believe the best way to determine the depth of your convictions is indeed to test them. It doesn't necessarily have to be a physical test, since many of our convictions are not even quantifiable. But, testing them through internal focusing, evaluating and questioning might be the key.

Even then, life has a funny way of revealing the answers to you through experience which unfortunately is something that you cannot make happen, you have to let it come naturally.
