World’s Strongest Librarian on Problogger

by Josh Hanagarne on June 10, 2009

Hi everyone.  Just a quick update.  I’m thrilled to say that World’s Strongest Librarian author Josh Hanagarne (me) has a guest post on Problogger today.

The post is about my initial efforts to gather strength interviews for the Crazy Switch book to be released later this year.  Go take a look!  This has brought a ton of great new people over to World’s Strongest Librarian.

I’ll be posting updates here and on Problogger as the project unfolds.

thanks as always,

Josh

Hi Josh-
I just wanted to let you know that I thought you post was SUPERB! As someone who’s about to start a blog of my own, I really enjoyed reading your post and especially the letter sample. I’ll be snagging that for future use. Thanks and good luck with the book!

Thanks, Melissa! Do you have a blog yet? If so, what is it, where is it, and please ask me if you think I can do anything for you. Take care.

Didn’t read your post but saw your link off the ProBlogger home page. “World’s Strongest Librarian” After a giggle I had to give you props: great, memorable branding. Not yet sure what you do…but you got me here.

Thanks for the giggle and congrats on your guest spot!

Thanks, Natasha. I do a bit of everything and make a fool of myself often. Much appreciated. Any places I can find you online?

Josh, found my way over here from Problogger. Very well done!

I love the message of your post – the part about being nervous asking for a guest post with Darren really resonated with me. I had my first article over at TwiTip a few weeks ago, and my pitch was accepted in just a few hours! Thinking big rocks.

Your blog seems awesome and I’m looking forward to keeping up. I’m also into strength and smarts over at Summer Tomato, so I think we could be good friends ;)

Hi Josh,

Just read your piece on ProBlogger, which was really well done.

I’m a food blogger and freelance food writer. I have been toying with the idea of interviewing food writers, chefs, celebrities and have compiled a list of potential contacts. I too have experienced the dreaded “what if” scenarios. Thanks for the gentle reminder. What’s the worst that happens? The person says, “no.” I’ll live.

Glad I read your piece; just added you to my reader. Gonna tweet your piece too. :)

Thanks Susan. Make me some avocados and put them in the mail. They’re my favorite. Are you going to interview that Hell’s Kitchen guy?

Hi Josh,
Great to meet you at Problooger and here. There are so many times in our lives we advance after a deep breath, and a scary email or phone call. Your Problogger post was so personal, real and comforting.

I might not have thought I’d be interested in world class strength training. But you are engaging and I subscribed. Thanks!

Thanks Linda! Don’t misunderstand my outrageous claims–I’m not a world class strength anything. Just a guy who loves this stuff. Strength training has changed my life–if you’re interested, here’s something I wrote for another site that explains that a bit better:

Take Care!

Read your post on ProBlogger. Way to take that leap! Nothing ventured, nothing gained. I enjoyed your article very much.
