Miami Book Fair and Song Suggestions!

Hi gang,

I’ve been invited to speak at the Miami Book Fair this November. I’ve had a lot of library folks in FL writing to me asking when I’ll be out there–well, the time has come. I’ll be speaking and signing on either the 23 or 24.

Also, there’s a chance that I’ll be playing a song with The Rock Bottom Remainders on the 19th.

Not a bad band to be part of for a day! I’ll believe it when I’m actually up on that stage, but for now it’s looking good. I’ve been asked to submit a song I’d like to play with them.

Got a suggestion? Simple, three chord rock songs? I play the guitar, piano, and I sing.

Wow…on stage with Stephen King and Amy Tan. I think my heads would explode!

I’d be curious to know what songs you’re considering.

By the way, I finished your book this weekend and LOVED it.

I don’t think Mr. King is going to be there for this one. Actually, I’m not sure exactly what the lineup will be.

    You’re pretty talented! Inspiring.
If I have made my move to Miami by November, I’ll see you there!

Finally one I can make it to! We may even make a weekend of it.

My band always gets a good reaction playing “Thank You Fa Lettin’ me be Mice Elf”

If you have a horn player with you they have plenty to do on that song, it’s also great for soloing.

What fun! For old school rock, I can’t think of anyone who does it better than the Rolling Stones. How about Jumping Jack Flash or Brown Sugar? Although I like the Thank you…Mice Elf suggestion; but you gotta be able to get down, get funky and get back up again for that one. Good luck! c. 😉
