So, I Saw the Book Trailer

Okay, this morning I got the rough cut of the book trailer.  Most people seem to hate the sight of themselves in three dimensions, and I’m including myself in that, but I think it’s pretty good, despite the snaggle-toothed, bookish ape in most of the frames.

I still can’t show it to you (sorries to Annabel Candy, who has been howling for it), but here’s what I can say.

The music makes it sound likes it’s going to be a Tim Burton film.  Tim?  Tim, are you reading this?

They condensed a ton of footage into something pretty snappy.  I’m glad it’s not my job to edit anything digitally.

My teeth are pretty chipped.

A few people that I’ve shown it to have said my voice has a “nice sound.”

Depending on the angle, I have more/less hair than I pictured.

My best scar has been covered with TV makeup.

My hands look really big.

I lumber.  In my head I’m an elegant cross between a panther and a ballerina.  But I lumber around.

60d nails look pretty big, even though they’re easy to bend.

I mean what I say in the video.

My library is beautiful.

I should be able to show it to you “soon-ish,” which is publishing speak for…well, I’m not sure, I’ll let you know.    In the meantime, please enjoy this blurry photo of me not falling down while roller skating.

Nice skirt 😛 Wow. . . you can stand on wheels. That’s way better than me. Congrats on the trailer! Tim Burton will be STOKED!

It’s a sweat shirt, not a skirt! Like Ponyboy.
