Alone With the Horrors: The Short Fiction of Ramsey Campbell, 1961-1991

A short one today, folks.

If you like short horror stories…

If you’ve ever liked anything by HP Lovecraft…

If you’ve ever liked anything by Algernon Blackwood or Ambrose Bierce…

If you like to read about deranged doppelgangers with terrible ambitions, or ancient bookstores that are fronts for other dimensions…

If you’ve ever been bulled at school…

If you’ve ever had a doll whose face gave you the willies…

Then try Ramsey Campbell.  He was the best horror author I’d never heard of.  Truly wonderful horror stories.

PS: if the first story in the collection doesn’t do it for you, please read at least one more.  The first is a very obvious Lovecraft homage, and while I like it, it isn’t the greatest representation of Campbell’s work.
