This video shows an incredibly strong guy doing a heavy Turkish getup. 160 lbs. The amount of weight isn’t as impressive as the fact that he’s doing it at a bodyweight of 166 lbs.
If you’ve never done a getup, at its most simple it is pressing a weight up while lying on your back on the ground, then standing up while keeping it at arms length. It’s harder than it sounds, particularly because it’s an unusual movement–most people I’ve trained have never done anything like it prior to trying it.
