This is a question I get fairly often at work: how many people are in the United States of America?
We always pull the answer out of US Census Data.
Right now the US population is approximately 313,593,504, given the current birth/date rates.
That’s a lot of people. Many of Kurt Vonnegut’s stories had elements of how crappy life would get in overpopulated states and cities. Hopefully we’ll have it easier than many of his characters did.
