I Need a Motto for a Motorcycle Gang

Okay everyone, I’ve started a biker club. We’re called The Yams.

As a reader, you’re already a member, but we need a motto. So far, the only suggestions I’ve heard are:

Yams forever, forever yams (YFFY)

actually that’s the only one so far.

Who’s on it? Whoever comes up with the winning slogan gets to be my Vice President in charge of doing wheelies.

What about “I yam what I yam, a yam I am”

    • Frances Ruth Harris May 12, 2012, 10:13 am

Great reply! You’re at the top of your game, for sure!

  • Ted May 11, 2012, 8:21 pm

    Not. Potatoes.

  • Frances Ruth Harris May 12, 2012, 8:30 am

    Yams Slam Dunk!

    • Josh Hanagarne May 12, 2012, 9:17 am

That’s pretty enthusiastic. You must really want the spot.

Well, I not really a wheelie girl, but I know I have the ability to become one of the best! All I need is encouragement and time to practice and then, LOOK OUT!

Don’t F**k With The Yams! (Literary reference for librarian led biker gang.)

  • Gustavo May 12, 2012, 9:45 am

    Yes We Yam.

  • Lynn May 12, 2012, 10:14 am

Not to good with slogans but I want to be a “Yama Mama”.

    • Josh Hanagarne May 12, 2012, 12:19 pm

A fitting equivalent to the “old ladies” of lesser clubs.

I can’t ride a motorcycle and so am not eligible for the prize, but I can’t believe nobody else said that already.

    • Frances Ruth Harris May 12, 2012, 3:44 pm

Hmm . . . Why do you have to be a biker to have a great motto?

  • Misty May 14, 2012, 8:43 am

The Yams Ride Everywhere Swiftly! (or smoothly, or superb)

  • Pauline May 14, 2012, 9:52 am

    Our favorite:
    Yams ride sweet.

    or, maybe:
    Yams sweet ride.
