Me on Goodreads

I’ve been using Goodreads for over a month now and I have to say I love it.

If you’re a user, please add me if you want yet another way to talk with me about books online.

Here’s my Goodreads bookshelf, highly-in-progress.

Or let me know in the comments if you’d like an add and I’m come find you.

I hope you got a chance to read that first Scalped Trade, it looks like you may have marched right on to the third. I was at C2E2 this weekend and the Vertigo guys had a picture of the cover of what will eventually be the 60th and final installment of that book. It looks good/heartrending/methy like most things from that series.

Casey, I backed up and started over. I’ve really enjoyed the series. Good recommend.

Have you checked out any of their “giveaways”? More opportunities for free books = me more excited than I get over (just about) anything else.

no. Where do you find them?

        Here is the link: http://www.goodreads.com/giveaway

I first started “playing” about a year ago. Back then, there was a lot less competition per book, and I would “win” pretty regularly. I have won about 20 books so far.

Even if you don’t win flat out, they send your information to the authors, and I have been contacted after the fact about opportunities to obtain a free e-copy of a book or other sources. I have also been able to engage in some pretty interesting discussions with some of the authors.

I really love Goodreads. Wish I would have thought of the idea first!

Josh, welcome to Good Reads. I actually learned about the site when I saw that two of my favorite tech podcasters had a Sci-Fi/Fantasy book club over there (Sword & Laser), and I’ve been using it ever since. Whenever I go to a book store now, I use the Good Reads app to check my “to read” list and see which titles I’ll want to pick-up.

Thanks Ryan. It’s a lot more useful to me than any other social network I’ve used.

Dude, I didn’t think anyone else read watershed down but me! You have many great books I’ve read and many I will have to read on there. Oh, and get gripping man! Nice inch lift.
