Speaking in Topeka this Weekend – What Should I Go Do?

I’ll be in Kansas City and Topeka this weekend.

Any suggestions for what I should do?

I hear there are lots of flat spaces.

We went to Science City in Union Station in Kansas City. The have a bicycle that’s up on a tight rope. Lane wanted to ride it but they said he was to young so he had me do it for him. We also enjoyed the Crown Center, they had a cool children’s play area with a space invaders area! Oh and find some place to get BBQ. There is supposed to be good BBQ there, but Lane is not a fan of BBQ so we didn’t go try any. I try to avoid meltdowns with him when we can.

There is a lot to do. Art museums, used bookstores, lots of shopping and nice restaurants, movie theaters, even lakes and trails, if you like that sort of thing.

      Also Union Station/Crown Center.

Also a developing downtown with a performing arts center and college basketball history museum/experience at the Sprint Center, and a burgeoning “Power and Light District.”

The Country Club Plaza is nice, and now boasts an H&M.

      An awesome zoo!

There is also UFC that night, and a number of places to watch and eat wings and/or barbeque.

Also, there are lots of flat spaces.

Drive north on Interstate 29 about four hours to Sioux City, Iowa. I’ll meet you there. 🙂

If you find something awesome to do, let me know. I came from Wyoming to hear you speak this morning!

Go to westboro baptist church and walk around with a protest sign. Anything. “God hates ticks and fleas!”, something like that.

Go to Lawrence. 20 minutes west of Topeka. Park downtown and wander up and down Mass St.
