My speaking calendar is filling up for the year. It’s going to be hectic and travel-heavy, but there are certainly worse problems to have.
For those of you who would be interested in hearing me present, please check out the Speaking page to see where I’ll be in the next four months.
For those of you just getting here, who might be interested in having me present to a group, I’m expanding my list of subjects and presentations.
So far, most of my engagements have been with parents or educators of children with disabilities, and I’ve done a couple of guest lectures in linguistics classes up at the University of Utah.
In addition to my Tourette’s-based engagements, this year I will be speaking (entertainingly, dazzlingly, and well) about:
- Attention spans why/if they matter, how to improve your own, why you might have lost the one you had
- ADHD in kids and adults
- Fathers and sons
- Why teachers matter
- The value of an education, and what an education actually means
If you work with any groups that would be interested in hearing about any of these topics, please let me know. I don’t make a lot of money doing this but I want to do it as much as possible. Speaking, traveling, and meeting people worth knowing is absolutely my favorite thing to do.
