In honor of the stifling, horrific heat outside today, I’m going to take a stab at the Family Feud question: name something that melts.
I usually use these questions as a little mental jumpstart. They can be useful when I’m getting ready to work on a longer writing project.
I’m always surprised at how hard it is for me to call up what should be easy answers when put under a little bit of pressure.
As to the pressure, it’s not much: I’m going to set a timer for 40 seconds today and see how many answers I can come up with:
Okay:
- Ice cream
- M & Ms
- Ice
- Snow
- Hearts
- Chocolate
- Butter
- Plastic
- CDs when you leave them in the car
- Icicles (blah, that’s a sad duplicate of ice)
I thought I’d be able to come up with more examples that weren’t food. Guess I should go eat.
If you liked this little experiment you might enjoy some of the other similar posts I’ve written, like name something that begins with the word great.
I hope you’re somewhere with an air conditioner blowing in your face.
Josh
