Hello, it’s me again, here to pester you and see if you have done any writing since the last time we talked about this. Yes, I am also a fan of NanoWriMo, but there’s no need to wait for it come around to get started.
Just a quick refresher:
- Part one of Have You Ever Wanted To Write A Book was in July of 2010
- Part two was in November
Just something to think about: if you had written 100 words a day since July of 2010, your book would have over 24,000 words in it by now. That is with only 100 words! How many would it be if you had done 500 words? 1,000? Don’t feel guilty and start whipping yourself as punishment, just think about it. Small steps still lead somewhere.
100 words is nothing, and I can tell you that once you’re consistently knocking out 1000 words a day, it doesn’t feel like a big deal either.
Note, I’m not saying that every one of those words, and the sentences and paragraphs they lead to are going to be gems, but they’ll lead somewhere eventually. You can’t edit the mess you haven’t made it.
If you want to write, please stop putting it off. Get the life you want. Time is precious.
100 words a day. It all adds up.
Josh

Josh,
Thank you for your posts–inspirational:]
March is EdMo month, just an agreement to 50 hrs worth of edit on something you’re working on and a certificate for completion is available.
Thanks again:}
Of course, you can also use the time before Nanowrimo to plan or research your next novel, so you are better prepared.
True true true! Is that what you’re doing?
Hi Josh.
I have this idea:
Sancho rides alone.
What do you think?
I see the possibilities, my friend.
I think I will give it a try.
